Easter in Britain. This Easter was once of the busiest holidays that England has had for several years, a complete surprise to all those who said the war would kill the holiday spirit. Every Easter Monday a fair is held on Hampstead Heath, the high open ground towards the North of London. This Easter, and in spite of the war, the fair was held again. All day long, buses from the centre of London ran northwards, carrying holiday makers. This picture shows some of them on the flying swings. The two soldiers in the front of the picture seem to be wishing they had joined the Air Force instead of the Infantry.
