Geneva (French) (German: Geneva, Italian: Ginevra, Romanian: Genevra) is a city in southwestern Switzerland. It is the capital of the canton of Geneva and is, after Zurich, the largest city in the country with 196,257 inhabitants within the city limits (2014). It spreads on both sides of the southwestern part of Lake Geneva (Lac LÃ©man). The local main language is French.
